Division competition will be a mixture of round robin groups and single elimination play in order to determine the top 8 male players in order from #1 to #8 and the top 4 female players in order from #1 to #4.  The singles competition will likely be in conjunction with the Spring Teams competition either on the same day or the same weekend.  The cost will be $25/player for men's singles and $20/player for women's singles.

For the men, 24 singles players will be invited to compete at each of the six Regional competitions.

  • Regions with 4 or fewer Divisions will have the top 4 finishers in each Division receive automatic invitations.
  • Regions with 5 or more Divisions will have the top 3 finishers in each Division receive automatic invitations.

For the women, 8 to 16 singles players will be invited to each Regional competition.

  • For Regions with 3 or fewer women's Divisions, 8 players will be invited.
  • Regions with 4 women's Divisions will have 12 singles players.
  • Regions with 5 or more women's Divisions will have 16 singles players.  The top 2 finishers in each Division will receive automatic invitations to the Regional Championships.

If one of the automatic qualifiers rejects the invitation, then the next best finisher will be invited.  Automatic invitations will stop after 8 male players or 4 female players in a particular Division have been invited.  Any additional spots needing to be filled will then be filled by wildcards.  Wildcards are determined by taking the remaining players that have not been invited and ranking them in NCTTA rated order from highest to lowest.
