Greetings! My name is Joseph E. Wells II, and I am officially submitting my name as a candidate for the 2008 – 2010 NCTTA vice –presidency position. I not going to bore you with one of those, “this is has been my life long dream speals”. I would like to continue assisting the organization in identifying, understanding, and achieving its maximum potential.

For the past four years a number of you have seen or gotten to know me at various competition in several capacities, whether it be competing or managing.

Let’s take the opportunity to get to know a little bit more about me. I am 28, and an alumnus of Florida State University, with a master’s degree in sport administration. One of the interesting parts of my curriculum at FSU was to take athletic compliance course, which served very helpful in a recent position. Also, my practicum consisted of assisting FSU Women’s tennis in several administrative efforts, one being to promote their fall women’s classic.  Since Mar. 2005 I have been working for Marriott International in the field of sales. The sales coordinator is responsible for reactive sales, and assisting in securing corporate accounts for the property.

This past 3 years serving in the capacity of Vice President of NCTTA has been very exciting and rewarding. We have accomplished a number of first in a short period of time, and I would like to think that I had some contribution to those successes. It is in my nature to finish what I have started. The idea of continuing to see this organization and the sport of table tennis grow in the U.S. is very appealing.

By establishing strong and long lasting partnerships with entities in and outside the sport of table tennis, collectively we can achieve all of our goals and more. “Remember, you can never put runs on the board until you get in the game”.

Respectively,

Joseph E. Wells II
