NCTTA: Statement of Intent for President

Hello, I am Willy Leparulo and I am the current President of the NCTTA. I have been involved with NCTTA in some way shape or form since 1999 when it became the NCTTA. I have said this before and I will say it again I have been living a dream in being able to work for what I am passionate about and that is simply to promote Table Tennis in College/University. I would like the opportunity to stay involved and lead this organization and the many players, teams and schools in College Table Tennis.

The past couple of years have been great for NCTTA and College Table Tennis with the introduction of new schools from Canada to Puerto Rico and everyone in between. The NCTTA board has worked tirelessly for the concept of College Table Tennis getting involved with Rockstar Games, Nintendo Wii, Killerspin, Paralympics, Balls of Fury, Myspace, Facebook. We teamed up with USATT to send the US Collegiate team to the 2006 World University Championships. We have been doing our best to stay as visible to you, your colleges and the rest of the world.

What I hope to see for NCTTA and for College Table Tennis is to see respective schools take it more seriously and give it the respect it deserves. The NCAA is on our map more than ever now as NCTTA has finally been recognized by USA Table Tennis which accomplishes an integral step in the process towards NCAA recognition. Besides NCAA I have in the past served as an advisor to college table tennis clubs and help divise strategies for better funding and management of Table Tennis clubs. I have helped a plethora of different clubs with setting up their programs. Those of you that have contacted me know that you will receive a reply within 24 hours and know that I will do my best to get you the resources available to make your stay within College Table Tennis enjoyable. I am of the belief that it is important to stay involved with as much of the clubs and leaders as possible as you can see many times my involvement.
