Newgy Industries Returns as Sponsor of NCTTA Championships

Continues Decade-Long Support of College Table Tennis

Over its thirty-plus year history, Newgy Industries has developed a terrific reputation as the world’s leader in the production of table tennis robots and ball machines of the highest quality.

The company’s relationship with NCTTA stretches back pretty far as well. Newgy has been a sponsor and supporter of college table tennis for over a decade, and will be returning as a sponsor for the 2012 College Table Tennis Championships in Plano, Texas. Newgy representatives will setup an equipment booth from April 13-15 in the championships venue, to demo their top table tennis products.

Look for Roger Dickson of Newgy Industries to be on hand in the Lone Star State. With 250 collegiate players to invade Plano for the championship games, Dickson is excited about the opportunity to meet all comers.

“I personally love meeting the new players and seeing the seniors finish their college careers,” Dickson says. “I hope everybody gets a chance to stop by.”

Those players who take time to visit the Newgy man should learn a few things about their favorite sport. It will be much more than a sales pitch about the benefits of purchasing a table tennis robot.

“I will be using my ITTF coaching skills for those schools/players who don’t have a coach find a way to improve and win, while at the championships,” Dickson said.

Based in Gallatin, Tenn., Newgy Industries has roots going back to 1972 for founder and owner Joseph E. Newgarden Jr. It took 16 years of research before the commercial release of the company’s first table tennis robots in 1988.

One good thing about the company’s smartly engineered table tennis products is they are affordable. One of the notes on its website says it is the home of the $149 “robot” and the company offers several models at different price points and feature sets.

Newgy Industries is really committed to NCTTA players. And it’s more than talk. The innovative company works with NCTTA leaders to establish annual scholarships for outstanding table tennis players who also excel in the classroom on college campuses.

NCTTA leaders like President Willy Leparulo and Treasurer Francois Charvet applaud the company for their solid support to promote such scholarships and make other moves to enhance collegiate table tennis. “We join the entire NCTTA family in welcoming Newgy as we get set to begin the 2012 championships in Plano,” Leparulo said.

The company also operates a table tennis training center in Gallatin, Tennessee.
