Participant Information

Qualification for Championships team events is through NCTTA League play. Qualification for singles and doubles events is through ACUI Regional Competitions. Individuals and teams that have been extended an official invitation to participate in the Championships can register for the event and make travel/lodging arrangements using the information below.

HotelMilwaukee Mariott West

The official Championships hotel is the Milwaukee Marriott West, conveniently located in Waukesha, Wisconsin less than 10 minutes from the playing venue. Regular shuttle service will be provided between the hotel and venue throughout the competition. Visit the hotel page for more information and to book your reservations (and take advantage of tournament rates) by March 12.

TravelGeneral Mitchell International Airport

For air travel, Milwaukee is served by General Mitchell International Airport (airport code: MKE), about 20 miles from the Championships hotel and competition venue.

NEW! Airfare discounts with United Airlines: Through a partnership with the US Olympic Committee (USOC) and USA Table Tennis, take advantage of discounts between 5% and 12% (depending on where you're flying from) on United Airlines flights to the Championships. Here's how to book:

Shuttle service for guests of the Milwaukee Mariott West: By partnering with Coach USA/Wisconsin Coach Lines, the Waukesha CVB is able to offer Championships attendees transportation to/from the Milwaukee airport. This complimentary service is only available at certain times, so be sure to book your arrival and departure within the specified window to take advantage:

  • Arrivals (airport to hotel shuttle): Thursday, 2pm to 10pm and Friday, 8am to 11am
  • Departures (hotel to airport shuttle): Sunday, noon to 8pm

For those arriving at other times, you'll have to arrange your own transportation from the airport. The Milwaukee airport is served by a variety of rental car companies, as well as taxis and Go Airport Connection shuttle service.

Singles and Doubles Registration

Invited qualifiers can register through the ACUI website once regional qualification is finished.

Disabled (Paralympic) Singles Registration

Registrations will be accepted as space permits; there are no special qualifying tournaments for the Paralympic Event. Interested disabled participants can register by following these instructions:

  1. Complete the Online Paralympic Registration Form by the appropriate deadline.

  2. Take the Championships Eligibility Form to your school's registrar for verification and mail the completed form to NCTTA.

Deadlines and Fees:

March 3, 2010

Early deadline, entry fee $15.

March 12, 2010

Final deadline, entry fee $25.

Team Registration

Championships qualification and competition follow the 2010 Championships Rules and Regulations. Please read this document to understand the basic rules governing the event. Invited men's/coed and women's teams may register for the Championships by completing the following steps:

  1. Complete the Online Team Registration Form by the appropriate deadline (see below).

  2. Email a photo of your team and an image of your school's logo (both print quality, 300 DPI or higher) to

There is no separate Championships Eligibility Form required for teams, the Spring League Eligibility Form already submitted for your team is sufficient.

Deadlines and Fees:

Teams qualifying directly by winning their division » Early deadline, entry fee $150.

March 8, 2010

Teams qualifying directly by winning their division » Final deadline, entry fee $200.
Wild card teams » Final deadline, entry fee $150.

March 12, 2010

Second chance wild cards (invited if some schools decline) » Final deadline, entry fee $150.

Fundraising and Financial Assistance: Please read NCTTA Funding Request Information for suggestions on requesting funds from your school and other sources of funding. If you would like to request financial assistance from NCTTA please complete the Financial Assistance Application but be advised that such assistance is very limited.

Additional Coaches, Managers, or Chaperones

The team registration fee is for 8 players and 1 coach/manager. In the event an additional coach, manager, or chaperone will be attending the Championships with a team or singles participant, the cost is $35 per additional person, and includes the following:

  • Credential for access to the competition venue throughout the Championships
  • Access to airport transportation and transportation between the hotel and competition venue
  • Lunch at the venue on days when the athlete(s) being coached are playing
  • Ticket to the Championships banquet

To add an additional person please use the Additional Coach Registration Form. Deadline is March 25, 2010.

Note: The additional coach registration deadline has passed. However, is still possible to purchase 3-day spectator passes and additional banquet tickets at the door.
